Venugopal Venkatesh is a highly accomplished finance executive with over 45 years of experience in strategy, project financing, M&A and treasury operations. A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, he has held senior leadership roles in both public and private sectors, including Oman Oil Company, Oman Shipping and Ernst & Young.
Throughout his career, he has led transformative deals including the $960M Oman-India fertilizer project, $500M in vessel financing and major strategic acquisitions across Asia and Europe. He also played a pivotal role in establishing Oman European Bank and held directorships in key organizations such as Sohar Aluminum, Ahli Insurance and Bharat Oman Refinery.
Currently a freelance consultant between Oman and Dubai, Mr. Venkatesh is known for his deep financial acumen, hands-on operational expertise and exceptional banking relationships across the GCC and global markets. His advisory work continues to shape the financial strategies of companies across multiple sectors.
